a weekend in utah

We spent labor day weekend in Utah this year. Spencer's parents flew in from North Carolina to visit G.G., so we decided to drive in to meet them. We stayed with Ty and Kumari in Lehi and met up with my parents a couple of times too; they were also in town for the weekend visiting my brother Kyle at BYU. Our weekend in pictures:

silly baby

lovin' this

Turned around the other night and found this. Good man, love it, absolutely love it!

tucson in july

My sister and her family recently move to Tucson Arizona, soooo Mom and I quickly planned a girl getaway and headed for the Arizona heat to check out the new place. We got a good jumpstart on decorating, (pictures here), and we squeezed in a little play time too. Olive had a blast with her cousins and thought Owen was hilarious everytime he walked into the room. It was fun to see her around the other kids and to see how much fun she had with them. She got to see her first wild west show with real guns, and came home with her first cold and heat rash too HA! Man, Arizona is hot in July, but, we had so much fun, and it was all worth it.

pre-birthday bash

On my way home from work the day before my birthday, my little brother Kyle called and told me he'd taken a bump on his flight home from New York and that he was staying in Denver for the night,(cause for cupcakes a day early!)
So, Kyle, Nate and Julie came over for pizza and then we headed to the park with our cupcakes to celebrate and try out my new soccer ball. Happy birthday to me!
Once the boys were all sufficiently beat and Julie had spared my baby from a crazy black lab off the leash,(who charged and scarffed down our cupcakes-bonehead dog) and it's skittish and less than apologetic owner... we headed for the hottub. It was a pretty great pre-birthday bash, and not to worry, I had more cupcakes at home and they were delicious!
