happy father's day

Happy 1st Father's Day Spencer! When I was in Boise over Memorial Day I had my good friend Cindy take some photos of Olive and I for Spencer for Father's Day. You're such a good daddy Spencer and your girls love you very much! Happy father's day to our Dads as well, we're so lucky to have you!

five year anniversary!

Spencer picked me up from work early on Friday with the car packed and ready for a surprise anniversary weekend. All I knew is that we were headed toward the mountains. A few hours, a couple custom playlists, and a soda later we pulled up
here. The Sky Hotel in Aspen Colorado. Aspen! Since we had grabbed dinner on the way, we headed out in search of the perfect dessert... which we found Torta di Lamponi ~ vanilla custard, fresh raspberries, cookie crust. Heavenly. Then we spent the remainder of the evening checking out the town. We got up early Saturday morning and had breakfast on the patio before strolling through the residential area and admiring the very intriguing life that Aspen locals live. We rode the gondola to the top of the mountain, truly the most beautiful mountain views I have ever seen. We had lunch at the resort on top and spent the day exploring. It was a magical day, the sweetest surprise, and the best anniversary yet. Love you Spencer!

san diego

I was in San Diego last weekend for business, and my lovely friend Aubry was there as well. I was able to fly in early and meet up with her for a day of shopping in San Clemente. Her family was so nice to let me crash at their house Friday night, and then drive me to the convention center the next day, not to mention the yummy breakfast and fresh juice from their citrus trees that morning. Oh, and the yummy mexican food, heavenly cupcakes, In-N-Out cheeseburgers, Aubry's homemade trifle, and on and on. Thanks for everything Aubry, it was so fun to see you!
I forgot my camera of course, see
here for pictures of the fun.

peterson's passing through

While I was in Boise I got a call from my sister Alisa letting me know that they wanted to stop off in Denver for a few days on their way to Tucson, AZ. Denver is not really on their way from Illinois to Arizona, but we were so glad they decided to make it such (thanks for coming out of your way guys!). We packed in some pretty good play time between the pool, the park, the children's museum, a little shopping and Nate & Julie's new house. It was so fun to see the kiddos and meet little Liam for the first time. You can see more photos of the rambunctious weekend here.

memorial weekend...

Olive and I made our first trip to Boise over Memorial weekend. I was a little nervous to travel alone with her, but she did great, slept on all 4 legs of the trip (why does Southwest not fly direct to Boise?) and we had a great time once we got there. Kyle drove in from Provo to meet her, and our first stop on the way home from the airport was Grandma and Grandpa Nelsons. We BBQ'd, shopped, golfed, did super secret fathers day pictures (thanks Cindy!), and spent time in my favorite backyard with some of my most favorite people. Just a few pics from the trip...
